Telecom operators across the globe can now gain quick and simple access to LTE-based mobile broadband for unpaired frequency bands. At the Next Generation Mobile Networks (NGMN) Industry Conference today, Nokia Siemens Networks announced that it has fully integrated TD-LTE with its existing mobile platforms including base stations and core networks. The company also showcased the industry’s first concurrent TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE demo. The co-existence of the two technologies is a significant step towards facilitating operators’ transition to TD-LTE and was conducted on Nokia Siemens Networks’ Flexi Multiradio Base Station. Nokia Siemens Networks’ TD-LTE offering is designed for the global market, targeted to ensure high-speed mobile broadband connectivity across a wide range of end-user devices and applications in networks with unpaired frequency bands. |
