Samsung Launches Metro 3G Mobile Phone

Samsung Electronics, has launched the Metro 3G - a new, stylish Metro phone with an all new metallic exterior offering 3G Connectivity. With the launch of this new mobile, Samsung has five, feature rich Metro Series of mobiles in its line up. Ranjit Yadav, Director IT & Telecom, Samsung Electronics said, "Metro 3G is the first phone in the Metro series that offers 3G connectivity and access to SNS and IM features. This stylish phone also scores on account of its enhanced multimedia features." The 11.9mm Metro 3G offers users easy access to 9 social networking sites – Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Picassa, Friendster, Photobucket etc. With the 3G(HSDPA) network , which is again a first in the Metro series and with SNS shortcut toolbar on the home screen, users can easily upload photos, send messages and stay in touch with their peers in the online space. Metro 3G also comes equipped with a chat messenger and supports GTalk, AIM and Palringo chat. The multi-media features of the phone include – a realistic 3D sound experience, 3.2 Megapixel camera with Smile shot and Panorama shot technology and Bluetooth 2.1 which offers wireless connectivity to headsets, printers as well as mobile and PC devices. The phone also offers ample storage space for all multimedia content with 105MB internal memory and a microSD support up to 16GB. Further Metro 3G is also the first phone in the Metro series with that offers 9 regional languages support. The phone comes preloaded with Google applications and allows users to open and read rich text documents and comes equipped with a mobile tracker. The Metro 3G is priced at Rs. 8250. |
