Saudi Schoolgirl to Get 90 Lashes For Carrying Cell Phone

A 13-year-old schoolgirl in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 90 lashes and two months in prison for carrying to her classroom a mobile phone equipped with a camera. The girl, who has not been named, was sentenced to 90 lashes in front of her classmates followed by two months in detention. A Saudi court pronounced the judgement after she was caught with a cell phone equipped with a camera. The gadget is banned in girls' schools in the country, Press TV reported Thursday. |
