Sonim’s rugged XP3 Enduro only made an appearance last week and the company seems to be speeding along with new models getting ready to launch in a tie up with Land Rover. According to reports, a total of 3 new GSM handsets will emerge out of this collaboration – The Land Rover S1, S2 G4 and one more a little later next year. Scott Wilson, a designer from Chicago will create the products for the companies. Much like the XP3 Enduro, these handsets will also be hardcore enough to withstand elements like salt, fog, humidity, thermal shock and a 1.6 meter drop onto concrete, no less, from any angle. The S1 and S2 handsets are scheduled to be launched sometime in the first half of next year. Pricing isn't known yet so stay tuned. |
