Tata Docomo, in a statement announcing that they've selected Apalya Technologies as their exclusive Mobile TV partner, also mentioned a loaded sentence. "Tata Docomo today became India’s first private telecom operator to offer 3G services." They had said earlier that they had plans to roll out 3G services in all 9 circles by this Diwali which include Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh-Chattisgargh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh (West), Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra. The loaded statement highlighted - Click to enlarge As part of this announcement, Tata Docomo has also said they're pairing up with Apalya Technologies to provide Mobile TV via Tata Docomo's 3G service. Apalya's Mobile Video Delivery Platform streams video content to consumers, integrating mobile operators billing system, content owners interests and mobile advertising. Do these guys have the Docomo tune stuck in their head? Public service providers like BSNL and MTNL have already rolled out 3G service. 3G services enable subscribers to download full length movies, make video calls and watch live television programs. |
