Tata Teleservices Joins BlackBerry Bandwagon

Tata Teleservices and Research In Motion (RIM), have launched the BlackBerry solution in India, with Tata Indicom offering the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone nationwide.



The BlackBerry solution provides customers with a wide range of easy-to-use mobile applications, including phone, email, messaging, organizer, web browser, multimedia and more.

Featuring a stylish design with a full QWERTY keyboard, intuitive trackball navigation system and large bright display, the CDMA-based BlackBerry 8830 World Edition offers international roaming capability on GSM/GPRS networks. Together with a 'One World – One Number' R-UIM (Removable User Identity Module) card powered by Tata Indicom, users can access email and data, as well as place and receive domestic and international calls, nationwide on the Tata Indicom CDMA network in India and around the world on GSM/GPRS networks.

Tata Telservices also provides enterprise mobility applications for sales and field service automation, business intelligence and data collection on the BlackBerry platform.

The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone will be offered with a standard voice plan and three options for data services - Gold, Platinum and Titanium Plans.
