Closely following the announcement of the HTC P3470 – a GPS-enabled phone – Toshiba showcased its Portégé G810 that also aims at capitalizing on built-in GPS and A-GPS for full-fledged navigation. The phone is 14mm thin, has a stylish black mirror finish, and is equipped with a 2.8-inch 65K-color QVGA touchscreen display. Additional connectivity options include Bluetooth v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and USB v2.0. The handset comes with support for both quadband GSM/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPS, and runs on Windows Mobile Professional OS. It's powered by a Qualcomm MSM7200 (400MHz) processor, with 256MB of ROM and 128MB RAM. microSD memory expansion is available (up to 4GB cards supported). Other features include push email capability, 3 megapixel autofocus camera, FM radio with RDS, and Windows Media player. The Portégé G810 will be available across Europe in Q2 2008, and the price is expected to be €120 (around Rs 6900). |
