Touchscreen Phones Have 18 Times the Germs a Flush Handle in a Men's Restroom Do

| by tech2 News Staff | Mobile phones

Touchscreen phones have germs, that's no surprise. But did you ever stop to wonder just how much? British researchers have found that the average iPhone, Droid and touchscreen Blackberry has 18 times the number of germs the average flush handle in a men's rest room would have.

Since influenza and other viruses get into our systems via our hands touching eyes, noses, ears etc., it's also important to know how many of these cooties actually make it to our body. A Stanford university study found that 30% of germs on a touchscreen phone pass to the user's hands and a good percentage of that actually makes it inside the body.

We’ve already established that the Lumia 720 is Nokia’s best effort as far as Windows Phone 8 handsets go. This could soon change once the Lumia 925 hits markets, but as it stands now, the Lumia 720 offers the best blend of features and performance, wrapped in a beautiful package that’s quite affordable.
