Yahoo! has announced the beta launch of its graphical advertising platform for its Mobile Web service in the United States. The first advertisements on this beta platform will go live later this week. This launch follows the October 2006 beta introduction of search advertisements, which enables Yahoo! advertisers to reach millions of consumers on their mobile devices via major wireless carriers in the US. Consumers will be able to click on these interactive ads to learn more information about the advertiser's offer or directly call the advertiser. "Yahoo! has established itself as an early leader in mobile advertising and is continuing to help drive the growth of this emerging market," said Steve Boom, senior vice president, mobile and broadband, Yahoo!. "As the only company with clear leadership in all forms of Internet advertising and a leading provider of mobile Internet services, we are uniquely able to create and deliver innovative, interactive marketing solutions to a targeted audience of engaged consumers." Yahoo! first launched mobile extensions of the company's services in 1999 and its Mobile Web service is available on most mobile phones across all the major mobile operators in the US today. |

We’ve already established that the Lumia 720 is Nokia’s best effort as far as Windows Phone 8 handsets go. This could soon change once the Lumia 925 hits markets, but as it stands now, the Lumia 720 offers the best blend of features and performance, wrapped in a beautiful package that’s quite affordable.
