Airtel 4G for Rs.999 in Bengaluru and Kolkata

Yesterday, almost a month after 4G services were launched in Kolkata, the services were flagged off in Bengaluru city and were inaugurated by the state CM, D.V Sadananda Gowda. Reports about Airtel introducing a new plan for their 4G enthusiasts have already started doing the rounds. Users across Bengaluru and Kolkata, keen on trying out Airtel’s newest 4G services can now enjoy 100 Mbps download speeds for 999. The image below lists down the tariff plans offered by Bharti Airtel to their users in Bengaluru and Kolkata, like Break free, Break free max, Break free Ultra and Break free Ultimate.

Bharti Airtel for their 4G customers in Bengaluru and Kolkata is offering, what it refers to as ‘Smartbytes’. This newly introduced feature, is Airtel’s 4G LTE top-up service and will essentially allow Airtel 4G customers to purchase add-on packs, which they can purchase once they have exhausted their free benefit usage. Airtel has introduced yet another interesting feature that users are being offered on their 4G network - a movie catalogue. Airtel is introducing a movie catalogue comprising 35 movies for their 4G LTE customers. Airtel will offer 10 movie titles for free, for the first month, which they claim that over lightening fast Airtel 4G LTE, these can be watched without buffering,pixilation and lag. To avail a monthly subscription for the catalogue, Airtel 4G LTE users will have to pay 149 /month for unlimited movies. Some titles on offer include - Rang De Basanti, Fashion, Shootout At Lokhandwala, No One Killed Jessica, among others.

The company is further offering some introductory 60 days offers for postpaid plans. "On the Rs.999 postpaid plan , customer will get a money back for a value equivalent of one month’s rent, spread over first 6 bill cycles. Customers will get a bill discount of Rs.167/bill for 6 bills. On the Rs.1399 and Rs.1999 postpaid plans , customer will get a money back for a value equivalent of two month’s rent, spread over first 6 bill cycles. Customers will get a bill discount of Rs.466/ bill for 6 bills in case of Rs.1399 plan , and Rs.666 / bill for 6 bills in case of Rs.1999 plan. On the Rs.2999 postpaid plan , customer will get a money back for a value equivalent of two months’ rent, spread over first 12 bill cycles. Customers will get a bill discount 499/bill for 12 bills."
