Subscribers of one of India's popular mobile service provider, Bharti Airtel will be able to avail free access to Twitter, till March 1st, 2012, confirms an official post on their website. The post further reveals that this move by Airtel is an 'one of its kind' move, wherein Airtel subscribers will be able to access Twitter, the popular micro-blogging site through their mobile browsers, by visiting http://mobile.twitter.com. Access Twitter for free till March 1, 2011
The post also adds that those without their GPRS connections active, will also be able to can sign up for Twitter or subscribe to SMS updates of some specific users. They could do so by using the shortcode '53000' on their mobile phones for free. To receive the link on their mobile phone, users have to SMS NOW to 53000 and avail the service till the promo period ends on March 1, 2012. |
