Acer’s GN245HQ 3D Monitor combines Full HD 3D imagery via HDMI 3D or DVI-DL (dual link) connectivity with NVIDIA 3D vision, for enhanced 3D multimedia. The monitor comes with a set of 3D glasses from NVIDIA with active shutter 3D technology. This, combined with the monitor's built-in IR emitter enables users to enjoy movies as well as games with their friends, as multiple glasses can be used at the same time. Will NVIDIA's new 3D vision technology make this one any better? Another advantage of this monitor is that it is not constricted to PC use. The integrated IR emitter and HDMI® 3D connectivity allow you to set up the GN245HQ with 3D set top boxes Blu-ray players, 3D gaming consoles as well as 3D cameras. The GN245HQ has some pretty impressive features apart from its 3D capabilities. It has a contrast ratio of 100 million:1, full HD resolution; a 23.6-inch LED backlit panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a response time of 2ms. This monitor also falls under Acer's range of EcoDisplays and has an energy saving design that is mercury free and made of easily recyclable materials. All in all this sounds like a very promising monitor, and I cant wait to check it out. The Acer GN245HQ will hit UK store shelves in mid March with a price tag of £419.99 (Rs. 30,575). |
