BenQ Debuts BL902M LED Monitor for Businesses

| by Roydon Cerejo | Monitors

While widescreen monitors seem to be the norm nowadays for home use, many offices still prefer the square aspect ratio as it’s more productive for certain applications. BenQ recently launched an LED monitor, BL902M, targeted at the IT industry and businesses. The monitor is priced at Rs.7850 and will be available across India. The pricing is slightly more compared to a 19-inch widescreen panel in the market but given some time, the price should drop a little lower.

The LED monitor features a TN panel with a 1280x1024 resolution. The typical contrast ratio is pretty good at 1000:1 while the brightness is set to 250 lumens. The response time of the panel is 5ms, which is low enough even for gaming, something you won’t be doing on this monitor anyways. In terms of connectivity, BenQ have thrown in DVI and VGA, which is nice to see since usually, budget LED monitors only feature VGA. Finally, we also have two 1W speakers built-in and a headphone jack for audio-out. The BL902M doesn’t feature any of BenQ’s proprietary technology like AMA or PerfectMotion but it does come with Senseye 3, is HDCP compliant and has VESA mounting points.
The monitor is quite slim, which is a great desk space saver thanks to the LED lighting. It is also aesthetically appealing, which for some companies is an important criteria when choosing a monitor for their offices.
