Just yesterday, BenQ launched their new EW2430V LED backlit monitor in India for a price of Rs.17,200. What makes this monitor different from the rest of their lineup is the VA panel used instead of the typical TN panel. This true 8-bit panel gives you a better color reproduction and wider viewing angles which falls between a TN and IPS panel. Packed with features
Another standout feature is the design of the monitor itself. BenQ has gone with a brushed aluminum finish for the monitors stand and a bit on the bezel as well giving it a stylish look. Specs wise, this 24-inch beauty sports a 1920x1080 resolution, a typical contrast ratio of 3000:1, 178 degree viewing angle and an 8ms response time. For connectivity we have D-Sub, DVI-D, 2x HDMI, Component-in, headphone jack and audio line-in and out jacks. To add to that, The EW2430V also packs in a 4-port USB hub and built-in 2W speakers. The only thing missing is a webcam but maybe BenQ have reserved that feature for a future model. Finally, we also have some new additions to the OSD. There’s Smart Focus which is similar to the “Turn off the lights” extension for Chrome. It lets you select a particular area and dims the rest of the screen. Super Resolution is supposed to enhance the quality of low resolution pictures, 3D Noise Reduction and PIP function.
The BenQ EW2430V has already found its way to our labs. Gear up for a full-fledged review soon on Tech2. |
