LG has announced the launch of its 15.6" Wide LCD monitor - W1642S. The monitor boasts of high picture clarity achieved through Digital Fine Contrast (DFC) ratio of 5000:1 and F-engine. LG's F-engine is the world's first picture correction technology chip in LCD monitors to enhance image quality. The combination of the F-engine and DFC of 5000:1 ensures classification of dark colors and is best suited for moving images with various brightness levels. This LCD monitor is targeted at homes, small offices, small and medium enterprises, and ITES segments. R. Manikandan, Business Group Head, IT Division, LGEIL said, "A higher contrast ratio implies vivid image, brighter picture and sharper text. LG's LCD monitors boast of high contrast ratio as compared to many commonly available LCD monitors in the market. The 5000:1 DFC and F-engine ensure such a striking picture clarity that the customer does not have to compromise on the picture quality even in this entry-level product." The monitor will be available for Rs. 7800. |
