Simmtronics Launches LED-backlit Monitors

Simmtronics Semiconductors have launched a new line of LED-backlit LCD monitors in the market today - three new models - SIMM-M15LE (15.6-inch), SIMM-M18LE (18.5-inch) and SIMM-M21LE (21.5-inch). All the displays are being manufactured locally at the Simmtronics plant in Roorkee. Available at competitive prices
The SIMM-M15LE and SIMM-M18LE support a native resolution of 1360 x 768 wheras the larger SIMM-M21LE supports a resolution of 1920 x 1080. All the displays have a power consumption of under 25W. There are two 4W speakers integrated into the monitors as well. The display can be connected to a PC using either DVI or D-Sub (VGA) connectors. Simmtronics claims a response time of 2 ms and a dynamic contrast ratio of 5000000 : 1 for all the monitors. The SIMM-M18LE and SIMM-M21LE models support 16.7 million colours whereas the SIMM-M15LE only supports 262,000 colours. The horizontal viewing angle as per Simmtronics’ specifications is around 170 degrees for the monitors. Simmtronics is pricing the LCD monitors from Rs. 4,000 for the 15-inch model to Rs. 8,000 for the largest model. The displays will be sold with a three year warranty at Simmtronics offices across the country and also its channel partners. |
