We had earlier reported that Intel's upcoming P35 Express chipset will be using DDR3. The P35 chipset can have DDR2 or DDR3 memory, but not both at the same time. The motherboards can support up to four sticks of DDR3 memory rated at 800 MHz or 1066 MHz. Foxconn showcased their P35 Express based motherboard, the P357AB-8EKRS2H at CeBIT. The chipset supports the upcoming 45nm multi-core Intel CPUs (Penryn) that have a 1333MHz FSB and also supports AMD's CrossFire multi-GPU technology. This particular model will support DDR3. |
