07 Jan, 2011, 3:20 pm IST | by Sriram Gurunathan | Motherboards

Gigabyte, today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), announced their latest series of motherboards based on the X58 chipset, the G1-Killer series for gamers, which include the G1.Assassin, the G1.Sniper and the G1.Guerrilla. These motherboards are top of the line stuff, make no mistake about it, because they combine great features with inclusion of technologies from Creative and BigFoot.

Weaponize yourself indeed

The G1.Assassin and G1.Sniper feature Creative Onboard Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Digital Audio Processors, which will enhance the audio experience for gamers. These motherboards also feature USB 3.0, Sata 6Gbps and Power E-Sata functions. Check out the image below for a full list of features the motherboards boast of.

If you thought X58 and Socket 1366 were dying out following the launch of Sandy Bridge, Gigabyte wants to think you were sorely mistaken. However, whether these motherboards deliver on what they promise is something that is yet to be seen. We can’t wait to get our hands on these motherboards for confirmation.
