ECS Unveils the Black Extreme P67H2-A Motherboard

The Sandy Bridge madness is well and truly underway. After Intel’s launch yesterday of their second generation of Core processors and Gigabyte’s subsequent motherboard launch, ECS have lifted the veil on their P67H2-A motherboard, which will house the Socket 1155 Sandy Bridge processors.

The ECS P67H2-A claims to be EXTREME

The P67H2-A has quite a few cool features, like ECS’ own Hydra Core Technology that’ll allow users to install three graphics under in A/N/X modes, which will provide them a lot of flexibility. The motherboard is supposedly also an overclocking beast, with support for ECS M.I.B X – ECS’ overclocking interface and also Intel XTU – Extreme Tuning Utility.

Here are the specs and features of the motherboard:

  • ECS Hydra Core function allows hybrid 3-way graphics cards in A/N/X modes.
  • Dual-port USB 3.0 front panel bundled, 6xUSB 3.0 by NEC chipset or total 20x USB 2.0 devices supported.
  • Offers 2x SATA 6G by P67 PCH, 2x eSATA 6G by Marvell chipset or total 8x SATA 3G devices with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 function.
  • 4x DDR3 – 2133(OC) up to 16GB.
  • Multi-language UEFI
  • EZ Charger, which is designed for Apple devices such as the iPad, iPhone and iPod families.
  • Qooltech III Dual-heatpipe cooling solution.
  • Easy Debug LED showing system temperature.
  • Anti-crash USB connector cover.
  • ECS software kit, including eGS/eSF/eBLU/eDLU/eOC/eJIFFY.
  • Norton Internet Security 2011 bundled.
  • Intel VRD - Voltage Regulator-Down 12.0 supported.
  • Dual GigaLAN with teaming.

We'll have to wait and see just how well this beauty performs.
