Gigabyte launches UD4 Classic technology based motherboards for the Indian market

| by Roydon Cerejo | Motherboards

Gigabyte have already established themselves as a big player in the motherboard business in India, and today, they’ve launched their Ultra Durable 4 technology-based motherboard, whose design will protect it from humidity, high temperatures, power failures and static electricity. In country, like ours, which often faces these problems, it seems like a good fit. The first two boards launched are based on the Intel H61 chipset and with more to follow.

  • GA-H61M-S2P-B3 - Approximate Price Rs. 3,800
  • GA-H61M-DS2-B3 - Approximate Price Rs. 3,500

Some of the main highlights of this technology include:

Glass Fabric PCB - This helps repel moisture caused by humid and damp conditions. While the unique PCB material reduces the amount of space between the fiber weave, the Glass Fiber PCB technology makes it more difficult for moisture to penetrate, as compared to traditional motherboard PCBs. It also helps prevent short circuit and system malfunction caused by humid and damp conditions.

All Solid Capacitors, Lower RDS(on) MOSFETs - Helps reduce operating temperatures significantly compared to traditional MOSFET solutions.

DualBIOS  - Let’s you recover your PC's BIOS in case of a failure. This feature is now used on their entire range of motherboards.

High-Quality IC Microchips - High quality IC microchips are rated with higher electro-static discharge (ESD) resistance.
