Asus has always been an enthusiast, crowd favourite when it comes to high-end gaming motherboards. Now, GIGABYTE is jumping on the bandwagon with their own version of the Z68 motherboard to compete with Asus’s R.O.G line up. The G1.Sniper 2 is the second iteration of the ‘Sniper series’ and this time is based around Intel’s latest Z68 chipset. The design for the motherboard was inspired from a M4 Carbine submachine gun, so the heatsinks around the CPU area resemble the muzzle of the gun and the Southbridge uses a magazine clip like heatsink, all inter-connected with a heatpipe. There’s no word on the pricing or when it’s going to be available, as of now. If looks could kill
