Fly Mobile has recently announced the launch and availability of its latest 800MHz CDMA mobile phone, the C-250.

According to Prem Kumar, Chief Executive Officer (India Operations), Fly Mobile, “It is our constant endeavor to capture not just the requirements but also the aspirations of the users through continuous consumer research. These inputs are then incorporated into our products as features. This is possible only because we have our very own design and development facilities involved in incessant innovation enabling us to come up with superior products at unbelievably affordable prices. Of course, it also sets us apart from brands that are merely traders in cheap imports.”

The all new C-250 has a QC1110 chipset. Fly Mobile is in fact one of the first mobile handset brands in the country to introduce this advanced chipset which is designed to give users talk time of up to 8 hours owing to better power management. It is a BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) capable phone which essentially means that it supports the application development platform created by Qualcomm that can download and run small programs for playing games, sending messages, sharing photos, etc.

Oddly though the press image looks like it has a UI similar to Sony Ericsson's.

It will feature -

  • a 2-inch display with a 176x200 pixel resolution and 65K colors and
  • Bluetooth with A2DP, USB (modem)
  • a 2MP camera
  • Image editor
  • FM radio
  • Voice recorder
  • microSD card support for external memory up to 4GB
Fly Mobile will sell the all new C-250 CDMA phone model at a customer price of Rs. 4490 only through its nation-wide network of channel partners in the top 100 cities.
