LG BL20 Choclate Gets Official, No princing Yet Though

The LG BL20, a smaller version of the snazzy and ultra fashionable BL40 that was recently out is in the news yet again. This time it seems it be in a more official capacity as press images have been posted all over. The handset looks good enough to eat; of course that’s just the ‘Chocolate’ branding swirling inside my head after the long weekend, but it’s still nevertheless a sexy looking handset.

The BL20 slider is going to be equipped with -
  • a 2.4-inch TFT LCD that comes with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution
  • a touch-sensitive nav-pad
  • 3G support and EDGE/GPRS for those of us still a little behind in the connectivity scene
  • Bluetooth with A2DP, USB 2.0
  • a 5 megapixel AF camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics of course (LED flash)
  • FM radio
  • microSD card support for extending the memory
According to a few reports the handset will also support some pretty useful features like TextScan that enables users to take pictures of notes on paper and store them as a Note in the handset. It’s possibly similar to a Business Card Reader. The handset will also feature touch controls from along the side of the handset which would include volume and probably zoom for the camera. It will also feature Widgets which is the in thing these days in the mobile world but there seems to be no information about the handset being equipped GPS so perhaps the price would be quite the pleaser as well.

Speaking of price, sorry that hasn’t been announced just yet nor has the availability. We may have to wait a little bit long to get that information so stay tuned. Check out the video here.
