LG’s BL40 Chocolate has made its Indian debut. The LG BL40 in its glossy, chic, thin form is a luxury device and the successor to the highly-acclaimed LG Chocolate series. LG is using its S-Class UI with the new handset and hopefully it will lack the quirky issues that the other handsets had.

The handset features –
  • a 4-inch scratch-resistant, multi-touch enabled display that sports an 800 x 345 pixel resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio
  • 3G with HSDPA, EDGE/GPRS
  • Wi-Fi with DLNA, Bluetooth with A2DP, USB 2.0 (micro)
  • GPS with A-GPS with Google Maps and geotagging
  • 5 mega pixel camera with Schinder-Kreuznach lens and flash featuring smile and blink detection, image stabilization and manual focus
  • Stereo FM radio with FM transmitter
  • Divx codec for video playback
  • Dolby Mobile sound engine
  • 3.5mm earphone socket with TV out
  • 1GB internal memory with microSD card support

As part of LG’s association with Twentieth Century Fox, the new Chocolate phone will come embedded with content from director James Cameron’s epic 3D fantasy, Avatar. Jon Landau, the film’s producer, will be on hand in Hong Kong to introduce exclusive footage of this highly-anticipated movie.

The BL40 is priced at a whopping Rs. 30,000. Hold up for the review next week when I can tell you if it’s worth that amount.
