Nimbuzz Preinstalled on Micromax Handset

Nimbuzz the multi-community mobile social messaging, (geo) presence and VoIP provider has signed a major distribution deal with Micromax Informatics Ltd. Nimbuzz will be pre-installed in the Micromax Handset “Ezpad Q3”, which has been test-launched in June. Vikas Saxena, Country Head - Nimbuzz India, said, “We welcome all 3 million Micromax customers to Nimbuzz! Growing well over 900,000 new users per month, our software enriches the value chain of the mobile ecosystem. Users, who are looking for a device that fits their lifestyle, operators, looking for new APRU magnets, and handset manufacturers looking for a value add to differentiate, all profit from Nimbuzz's mass market solution.” Speaking on the partnership Rahul Sharma, COO, Micromax Informatics Ltd., said, “Our association with Nimbuzz and their award-winning multi-community mobile social messaging service will bring about a paradigm shift in the way youth communicate. Nimbuzz enhances the value proposition in our mobile phone market strategy in India, which revolves around high-quality innovative technology with superior features at a very pocket-friendly price. The EzPad Q3 has been designed to maximize communication by providing pre-installed chat, in addition to SMS.” The handset itself hasn’t been priced yet nor is its availability been officially been disclosed. |
