Samsung has also added a couple of new handsets to their ‘BEAT’ music edition of mobile devices – the BEAT DISC and the BEAT DJ. The BEAT Edition mobile phones offer a combination of touch-screen technology, innovative designs and an intuitive UI designed for an enhanced music experience. The UI called DISC will compliment the on board Bang & Olufsen audio technology.

Running Samsung’s intuitive DISC User Interface, both phones come fully loaded with as well as advanced music application for finding, purchasing and recommending music.

“The Samsung BEAT Edition handsets will take music on mobile phones to a whole new level of quality and exciting user experience,” said JK Shin, Executive Vice President and head of Mobile Communication division in Samsung Electronics. “With amazing sound quality and advanced music application, the BEAT Edition handsets will appeal to a growing base of consumers that want to consolidate their music playing devices without compromising on style, function and experience.”

With its BEAT DJ application & DISC UI, users will be able to add their own voice and sound effects to their favorite songs. Users can also ‘scratch’ the records by swiping their fingers across the display. The handset comes with the following feature set -
