Buffalo launches LinkStation Live LS-XL with DLNA

Buffalo Technology today announced the launch of LinkStation Live LS-XL series with enhanced Web Access feature for smartphones and tablets. It comes with a 3-year warranty and will be available in three capacities, 1TB for Rs.17,250, 2TB for Rs.23,250 and 3TB for Rs. 45,000.

Key features include:

  • Built-in media server to connect to DLNA compatible and UPnP AV digital entertainment devices
  • One touch transfer of media files from digital camera/camcorder via Direct Copy feature
  • Seamless integration with iTunes to access music files on LinkStation Live from iTunes software.
  • Time Machine and Apple Bonjour support for Mac
  • Designed to be positioned horizontally or vertically for flexibility and versatility in any environment
  • Flickr support and Eye-Fi connected to make photo experience more convenient
  • Free WebAccess application for iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones   
  • Integrated easy to use BitTorrent client module


The LinkStation Live is targeted at small business and home users looking for ways to easily share their data within a home network. Since the LinkStation has direct access to the internet, there’s no need for a PC for an interface.
