These Network Drives use the EMC LifeLine software – a Linux based operating environment, with its own suite of applications meant to support all the mainstream platforms like Mac, Windows and Linux. The drive has support for Time Machine and a built-in iTunes server which helps Mac users to backup their data and playback their songs or videos. The Home Media NAS also has DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) and UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) certification so you can stream various forms of media over gaming consoles, iTunes players, audio bridges, networked TVs and more.

This drive also follows the PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) that allows automatic transfer of photos from a digital camera. Speaking of transfer, the Home Media Network Drive also has two USB 2.0 ports that lets you plug in external drives for storing more data or for that matter, connecting to other USB-based devices for transferring media on the network.

The Home Media Network Hard Drive Cloud Edition is priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 1 TB variant and Rs. 9,999 for the 2 TB model.
