As a part of the fourth generation of the Dolby PC Entertainment Experience program, Dolby Laboratories, Inc. announced a new suite of audio technologies. Acer will release the first products utilizing these new technologies in its high-end Aspire Ethos consumer multimedia notebooks, which Dolby will demonstrate at CES 2011. Acer and Dolby's latest revelation If you think stereo is passé and that you need more, this news will definitely excite you, as this latest generation of Dolby PC audio technologies intends on creating a solution to the growing number of challenges associated with providing a high-quality PC audio entertainment experience. This will hopefully be a refreshing change from all the regular stereo content found on regular notebooks and laptops. Ramzi Haidamus, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Dolby Laboratories said, “Dolby understands that the traditional ways people consume content are evolving, and increasingly the computer is becoming a central entertainment hub through which music, movies, and games are enjoyed. That’s why we continue to perfect Dolby’s audio technologies to help our partners, like Acer, deliver revolutionary entertainment experiences on laptops.” Looks like Acer is plotting another hole in one with this, as they also recently announced their tie-up with NVDIA for some brand new 3D all-in-one PCs and monitors. |
