No technology day is complete without a leak or two and it looks like it's Samsung’s turn to do the needful and give us a daily dose of rumours and leaks.
According to a Chromium bug report, Samsung has a new netbook in the works. Dubbed ‘Alex’, the device is rumoured to powered by an Intel 1.5Ghz Dual-Core N550 Processor, 2GB of RAM and a SanDisk SSD (size unknown). The screen size is put at 10-inches with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800.Other features include the usual Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Webcam, Card Reader and a Synaptics touchpad. ![]() Sneaky Samsung
Those who want a look as the ‘Alex’ will have to wait till the 10th of May, when Google hosts its Annual ‘Google I/O’ event. Those who want a look at the bug report are out of luck as it was taken down in the blink of an eye. Samsung has been doing quite well for itself in the portable computing arena. Whats left to be seen is what a Chrome OS based device will bring to the market and how will it compete with the CR-48 and others in the segment.
