What seems like an inevitable evolution of the laptop PC, Intel demoed their next-generation concept of what the laptop of the future would be like. To be honest, we aren’t exactly blown away, since we’ve already seen products similar to that. While more details should be revealed at their keynote tomorrow, the concept notebook resembles a tablet, but with a little tug and pull, slides up revealing the keyboard underneath. Is this what notebooks in 2012 will look like?
It makes sense for notebooks to follow this design as you’re getting the best of both worlds. The prototype demoed seems quite slim, perhaps not as slim as some tablets like the Galaxy Tab 750 or the iPad 2, but considering that it's hiding a keyboard as well, it’s not too bad. Hopefully, we’ll see more of it tomorrow and maybe even some prototypes from Dell or HP, if we’re lucky. |
