The XPS 15z has a 15.6-inch WLED screen with Full HD capability with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The processors that these laptops come with are also the latest from Intel’s stable. Users can choose between second generation of the Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and select either a 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT525 graphics card or the 2 GB version of the same. The cards have NVIDIA’s Optimus and 3DTV Play technology pre-loaded. HDD storage capacity also starts from 500 GB which is usually sufficient for the average notebook user. Those looking for more space to store their data, can also opt for the 750 GB version.

The rest of the specifications like connectivity options and the rest will come with both versions of the XPS 15z. There’s Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 n and there are two USB 3.0 ports and an eSATA/USB port as well. Dell has also brought a quick launch bar in the form of their Stage User Interface that is basically meant for launching particular programs quickly.

The pricing of both notebooks seem to be a little high with the Core i5 version that’s packed with 4 GB RAM and 500 GB HDD coming for Rs. 69,900 and the Core i7 version that has 8 GB of RAM and 750 GB HDD priced at Rs. 80,900. Stay tuned for a full-fledged review of the XPS 15z.
