In a bid to take advantage of the insanely popular MMORPG, World Of Warcraft, and its ever-growing user base, its publisher Blizzard and Dell have combined together to release a series of co-branded laptops. These laptops sport powerful specifications and depending on the faction you favor (Alliance or Horde) come with the appropriate skins, Wallpaper and goodies for your favorite WoW toon. These machines will come with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, DX10 SLI graphics, Ageia mobile PhysX processors, backlit keyboards and built in cameras. The price for these branded laptops will top out at USD$ 4,400. Looking at the cost of these laptops, it makes me wonder what kind of insanity would be required to purchase this. I am as much a victim of World of Warcrack as you will ever find and at the cost being quoted for these machines, one could assemble a killer desktop rig that would completely outplay and offer a far richer experience. |
