HP Unveils a Range of Notebooks, a Consumer PC and a Monitor

HP has unveiled a range of notebooks including the Pavilion g-series along with the TouchSmart Consumer PC and a limited edition HP x2301 Micro Thin LED monitor. All the notebooks are based on either one of Intel’s Core i3, i5 and i7 processors with optional AMD Radeon Graphics.

The dv6 and dv7 notebooks have a dark metal umber finish and boast of a sleek design. In terms of features, both notebooks boast of Beats Audio and on-board quad speakers and the HP dv7 in particular features a Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer. The notebooks also boast of a CoolSense cooling technology and a ProtectSmart feature which helps to lock the hard drive.

The dv4 notebook features a 14.0-inch diagonal HD BrightView display and has an optional integrated Blu-Ray player with an integrated six-cell battery which provides up to 6 hours of battery life.

In contrast the HP Pavilion g-series notebooks – Pavilion g4 and g6, offer full connectivity for surfing the Internet. The g-series notebooks also boast of Altec Lansing speakers and SRS Premium Audio including the HD BrightView Display.

The TouchSmart Consumer PC has a 23-inch multi-touch HD display that can recline to about 60 degrees. The PC has touch- optimized applications from Facebook, Twitter, as well as HP’s exclusive RecipeBox, webcam and music applications where users can add new applications via the TouchSmart Apps Center. Plus they are also giving away a touch-enabled version of Ubisoft’s real-time strategy game, R.U.S.E.

Finally, the HP x2301 is a 23-inch micro thin LED monitor which features LED backlighting and supports full HD resolution.

While the HP Pavilion dv4 starts from USD$, the HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 starts from USD$799 (approx Rs. 36,000) and USD$899 (approx Rs. 40,500) respectively, they will be available from early March 2011.On the other hand, the HP Pavilion g4 and g6 starts from USD$549 (approx Rs. 24,770) and will be also available in March. The HPx2301 Micro Thin LED monitor is expected to be available in April 2011 in Asia Pacific, starting at USD$239 (approx Rs. 10,800).
