Apple’s attempt at making a really slim notebook has been successful. The first of the MacBook Air was too expensive and had little performance. The new MacBook Air that was launched back in late 2010 was priced at $999, which made it much more affordable, thereby making it more successful than its predecessor. According to rumours and experts, it’s time for a new update. Sandy Bridge processors likely to power the new MacBook Air
Apple might be launching a new MacBook Air sometime this month itself. According to a Concord Securities analyst, Apple has ordered some 3,80,000 units of MacBook Air. These are going to be 11.6 and 13.3-inch models that should be powered by Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors. Out of that total number, roughly two-thirds of those should be the smaller 11.6 model and the rest should be the 13.3-inch models. The first rumours of the Sandy Bridge powered MacBook Air first surfaced earlier this year. Apple only this week announced an update to their OS X operating system. The new OS will be available for download for $29 starting next month.
