Pioneer has announced its newest 'Combo' drive for Blu-Ray users called the BDC-202. The term combo here is misleading as it supports only Blu-Ray and standard DVD writing. The drive is able to read BD-ROM, BD-R and BD-RE discs at 5x, write dual layer recordable Blu-ray discs at 2x and support DVD + /- R/RW. Pricing for this product remains unknown right now. The drive will ship in Q2 2007. |
