It turns out that the latest Grand Theft Auto IV PC patch released by Rockstar has in fact caused more problems than solving matters for tons of users all over the interweb. GTA IV.net gives us the lowdown on the problem as well as the solution: Some users are experiencing a "spinning camera" issue after installing the new GTA IV PC patch. Rockstar Games has apologized for this, and provided a temporary solution at our forums: To fix the issue: 1) Unplug any DirectInput controllers (gamepads, joysticks etc..) 2) Reboot your computer 3) Launch GTA IV If the issue persists, the following instructions are provided as a guide to assist you in deleting the conflicting DirectInput drivers: 1) Exit game 2) Go to Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware Tab->Device Manager->Human Interface Devices 3) Locate drivers for devices 4) Delete drivers for devices 5) Launch GTA IV I guess we Indians are really lucky the game’s being sold for Rs. 500 here. |
