Corsair is a brand known for their memory solutions for PCs along with a whole bunch of other hardware and peripherals that they’ve been getting into. Corsair just announced what they are calling the world’s fastest DDR3 8GB kit - the Dominator GTX. The dual-channel kit has two memory modules that run at 2400 MHz when run using a latency of 9-11-10-30 and a voltapage of 1.65V. Looks similar to previous kits, but looks can be deceiving.
Corsair says that the memory is selected after going through a four-stage selection process. The performance and quality of this memory is found in one of 20 modules that go through the scanning. The Dominator GTX, like most of Corsair’s other performance RAM uses their traditional DHX+ heatsink design and AirFlow 2 GTL cooling fan that fits on top of the memory modules. Corsair is providing a lifetime warranty on the product. The pricing of Rs. 32,000 for the 8 GB kit is definitely not good news for the faint-hearted. |
