Simmtronics have announced the release of their new memory modules of the 1333MHz 4GB DDR3 variant. These modules will be powered by eight 256mb chips from the Samsung and Hynix stables. Simmtronics claims these 4GB modules consume less power than 2GB ones because of the “high density”. They will apparently be compatible with “all motherboards” (haha, what?). Well yeah, they obviously mean the ones that support 1333MHz DDR3. The modules in question
Anyway, these Simmtronics modules are priced at Rs. 3,000 and come with a lifetime manufacturer warranty. Well I’m not really sure how reliable these modules will be, but if Simmtronics were aiming at capturing some amount of interest at the very least, I’d say they’ve succeeded with the low price and the promise of a lifetime warranty. |
