Japanese developer Capcom has finally realized the wonders of digital distribution and has joined hands with Valve to distribute their games via Steam. The first game that'll be available by this deal will be Devil May Cry 3 (do not buy this game even if your family’s held hostage) for $19.95 (Rs. 818) "With the PC market becoming a larger part of our business, we're naturally focusing our attention on digital distribution," said Mark Beaumont, executive vice president of Capcom's American and European publishing arms. "Steam is the right place for us to go with our titles. Valve has created a huge installed base of gamers who naturally fit with the profiles of the titles that Capcom develops." Expect stuff like Onimusha 3, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix to hit Steam in the near future. |
