Day 9 of Game4u's 12 Days of Christmas sale brings Hitman Absolution for Rs 699

It's a brand new day, and that brings us a new game on sale in Game4u's 12 Days of Christmas Sale. Today's game on sale is the recently-released Hitman: Absolution Professional Edition at a 77 percent discount, bringing its price down from Rs 2,999 to Rs 699.

Hitman: Absolution marks the return of the bald bar-coded assassin after a long hiatus. The series is famous for letting you play Hitman however you like. This would include options like never being detected and making your kill look like an accident, or going completely crazy and shooting everyone down with a machinegun while wearing a giant bird costume during Mardi Gras. Hitman: Absolution is up for grabs

Yesterday's game on sale was the zombie-themed tower defense game Plants vs Zombies at a discount of 67 percent, which brought its price down from Rs 299 to Rs 99.

Plats vs Zombies is a tower defense game with a sense of humour. You place plants on your lawn to stop the zombies from breaking in and killing the owner of the house. There is a wide variety of zombies that attack too, ranging from zombies with increased defense (wearing a traffic cone), to zombies that summon more zombies (dancing like Michael Jackson from Thriller). The game got praise for its simple yet addictive gameplay and sense of humour.

The previous day brought us Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The game was up for grabs for a 60 percent discount, bringing its price down from Rs 499 to Rs 199.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was released in 2011 as a prequel to the original Deus Ex. The game takes place during the relative start of the era of human augmentation. Apart from giving great stealth and action gameplay, Human Revolution was applauded for the multiple routes through levels that it allowed. While it was applauded for all these things, the game did catch a lot of flak for having bad boss fights. Where the original Deus Ex was famous for letting you handle any situation—including boss fights—however you wanted, Human Revolution's boss fight could only be fought like a typical FPS game. Day six of the sale brought us Dragon Age II at a discount of 50 percent, which brought its price down from Rs 999 to Rs 499.

BioWare II took a different approach to telling the dark fantasy story than the first game. Instead of focussing on the bigger issues at hand, the game put you in the shoes of a human protagonist and had you deal with smaller problems, like something as simple as getting your family to safety in the wake of the war against the Darkspawn. Dragon Age II was also notable for introducing the Mass Effect style conversation interface, as opposed to the more old school 'list of dialogues' approach of the first game.
