Minecraft Goes Final on 11/11/11

Minecraft has had a cult following for a long time. For a game that looks outdated visually and one that hasn’t even reached final release, it’s sold over 2 million copies and over $32 million in earnings. The team behind Minecraft is no larger than eight individuals. According to Tekgoblin, it’s already selling close to 10,000 copies each day. After years of success in its beta form, it’s all set to be released as a final game later this year.
2 Million players and counting...
The developer of the game worked with King.com and another MMORPG called Wurm Online. He quit his job to start work on Minecraft. The launch date for Minecraft is going to be the 11th of November, 2011 (11/11/11). This also coincides with the launch date of the latest installation of the popular Elder Scrolls title – Skyrim. |
