Modern Warfare 3 to ship with dedicated servers

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer was awesome where Infinity Ward improved on certain gameplay aspects to deliver one of the most engaging online gaming experiences ever. Only problem was that the game didn’t ship with dedicated server support which meant finding games was an utter and complete pain in the backside.

Treyarch thankfully included dedicated server support for Black Ops and now you have Infinity Ward following their footsteps for Modern Warfare 3. Besides the fact that you’ll now be able to find servers without staring at your PC screens for an hour, this also means players will be able to customize servers and generally go crazy with the in-game rules.

Of course even without dedicated server support, this game would go on to make at least a trillion dollars for Activision in the first week alone but this way at least we know they listen, right? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available worldwide for the Xbox360, PS3 and PC by the 8th of November 2011.
