New Oblivion Mod in the Pipelines

It seems the PC modding community is in full throttle this month. First we had the uber badass Grand Theft Auto IV ICenhancer mod that made GTA IV look like a next gen game. Then we had a bunch of amateur modders working on a co-op mode for Crysis 2 and now, according to Shadowlocked.com, we have Andoran: Prologue, a visual mod that gives Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion a much needed visual jolt.

Oblivion was a beautiful game back in the day but today but back in the day was nearly five years ago. The Andoran mod adds in a ton of new maps, textures, character models and a lot more gameplay tweaks as well to make the game visually acceptable by today’s standards. And best of all, like all mods, Andoran will be free when it drops later on this year. You will obviously still need a copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to activate this mod.
