Blizzard has released a new trailer for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. The video, dubbed the Vengeance trailer, gives us a glimpse at Sarah Kerrigan's side of the StarCraft II story. The game is set to pick up right after the ending of Wings of Liberty, after Kerrigan is no longer the Zerg's Queen of Blades.
The trailer hints at a conflict in Kerrigan's mind, with accusations being wildly thrown around that she has betrayed everyone and is now neither human nor beast. Kerrigan's only objective seems to be the death of Mengsk as revenge for when he abandoned her amidst a Zerg invasion during the events of the first StarCraft. The trailer also gives a glimpse at the crash of a battleship that looks a lot like Jim Raynor's Hyperion.
Back in November, Blizzard had announced that the release date of Heart of the Swarm is March 12, 2013. Heart of the Swarm features a new campaign continuing the story of Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, as she gathers the remnants of the Zerg Swarm and plots her revenge against the treacherous dictator of the Koprulu sector, Arcturus Mengsk. It also introduces several new multiplayer units and features.
StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm will be available for Windows XP/ Windows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8 and Macintosh at a retail price of $39.99 (approximately Rs 2,200). The expansion will also be available digitally directly from Blizzard's StarCraft II website for the same price.
