Pre-order Battlefield 3 and get a free game

Battlefield 3 may not be coming to Steam but EA’s trying real hard to make gamers fall in love with their online service, Origin. According to Ars Technica, if you pre-order Battlefield 3 before the end of the month on Origin, you stand to get one of three EA games absolutely free. The games up for grabs via this offer are Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 and Medal of Honor.

When I logged into my Origin account, there was no such offer on hand which makes me wonder if this is locked to US Origin accounts only. The only items showing up for me as part of the pre-order bonus were the Physical Warfare weapons pack and the Back to Karkand expansion pack which is basically a remake of some of the most popular Battlefield 2 maps. Either way, if you do plan on pre-ordering the game through Origin you should know soon enough.

Battlefield 3 will release for the Xbox360, PS3 and PC by the 25th of October 2011.
