Sholay Game in The Pipelines?

"Yeh hath mujhe de de Thakur" is probably one of the most famous lines in Bollywood till date and it belongs to Sholay, a movie that set the Indian box office on fire when it was released in 1975. The movie ran for 286 weeks straight (that's more than five years) and earned nearly 50 million USD.
To pay homage to this classic, Suresh Productions, FX Labs and Spirit are now planning on bringing Gabbar Singh and his band of merry dacoits back to the virtual world, albeit 31 years later. We don't know what kind of game it'll be or if you'll get to cut Thakur's hands off, or indulge in some friendly action with Jay and Veeru, or chase Basanti around Ramgarh but these companies feel Indian cinema has tremendous potential of getting converted into games, hence this.
"Within a year, you will surely see an Indian film being converted into a game. After that every 3-6 months, we should be able to come out with a game for an Indian film," says President of Suresh Productions, D Suresh Babu.
According to these companies, video games can also be made on South Indian flicks, especially those starring Rajnikant. Umm, I hate to break it to you guys but there's already a game out modelled after the great Rajnikant and it's called Devil May Cry.
