For all you fans of the Warhammer series, here's some bad news—Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has been delayed to Q1 2008. According to its developers, the delay's caused by the fact that they've been taken over by Electronic Arts. Here's what EA Mythic's Mark Jacobs wrote in a community newsletter: "Since our acquisition by EA, we have been afforded many wonderful development opportunities and we plan to take full advantage of everything that is available. This includes taking several additional months to make the best MMORPG possible. What has already emerged from this dedicated time of focused polish is nothing short of spectacular. In the Dwarf and Greenskin zones there is now more war, more Warhammer, and more of what makes WAR great." Here’s a link to the newsletter on WarCry.com. Let’s just hope that the game is worth the wait, and that it matches the standards set by World of Warcraft. [Via Eurogamer] |
