If you ever get a tad bit emotional over World of Warcraft and feel like threatening a World of Warcraft GM, I suggest you reconsider - even if its your own life your threatening them about. According to a story on GamePolitics, a 17 year old gamer threatened a Blizzard GM to take his life after the GM refused to give him what he wanted. Here's the scoop: The teen was having an online conversation with a representative of Blizzard Entertainment, an online video game company, when he typed that "he was suicidal and that the game is the only thing he has to live for," according to the report. The company representative called 911. The juvenile told police it was a joke "to try to get what he wanted for the game," according to the report. He was then handcuffed and placed in a patrol car. MMORPG addiction can make people do silly (and sometimes bad) things. So if you feel you're obsessed with an MMORPG, I recommend you take a break from it and keep your addiction under check; else you might end up like this kid with handcuffs equipped in your wrist slot, adding +100 to your Fail Rating. |
