Cowon D3 Plenue gets Android Market Hack

The Cowon D3 Plenue portable media player might have shipped with Android 2.1 Eclair, but it didn’t ship with the Android Market because the device was produced at a time when Google were still unwilling to give out Market Certification for devices without Cellular Radio. The D3, however, has gotten itself a hack that lets you use Android Market on the device, according to Anything But iPod.
This device now has Android Market
All’s not well though, because the D3’s rather off-beat processor means compatibility issues with apps. Angry Birds, for example, doesn’t work on the Plenue, which might be a disappointment to quite some people. So you might just want to check app compatibility before you shell out some hard-earned cash for them. Anyway, you can check out more info and the full instructions here. Be careful, however. |
